Vetreria di Borgonovo has achieved greater energy efficiency by exploiting the waste heat of its melting furnaces installing the Organic Rankine Cycle system, which produces 200 kW of elecrticity.

Heat recovery from Fuel Waste Incinerator

The System operates by taking the high-temperature fumes from the incinerator oven, thanks to an overheated water heat exchanger, and distributing them to the ORC system to produce electricity.

Heat recovery for biogas engine

"La Ceresina", a cattle farm lies in Italy, it is equipped with a biogas generation facility, and the biogas produced by the fermentation of the manure produced by their 1000+ head of cattle is used to fuel two MAN gensets. Our ORC operates by carrying out a heat recovery from the cooling jackets and engine fumes, producing 50 kW of electricity.

Heat recovery for biomass boiler

Agriturismo Al Bosco has achieved greater energy efficiency by exploiting the waste heat of its boiler-burning biomass (pruning residues) installing the Organic Rankine Cycle system. With two 100 kW ORC heat recovery systems, the customer has reduced their CO2 emissions and the electricity costs of the entire plant.
